Opportunities

We are so pleased to have your support, and would like to share with you some ways you can become more involved in your wonderful library community!

There are many opportunities to help – and sure to be one that you would enjoy!

Book Sales – Book sales are the most important source of revenue for our mission.  Help is needed to set up the sale, work at the sale, and clean up after the sale. There is flexible scheduling – come for as long as you can. Get your feet wet by volunteering for one of our book sales. Our annual book sale is held in the fall.

Saturday Programs – We have wonderful programs on a variety of topics throughout the year. All are scheduled on Saturdays at 2 pm. Come early, set up some chairs, meet and introduce the speaker, and enjoy the program!

Hospitality – Help is needed for various staff and volunteer recognition and other special events.

​

Publicity – Help get the word out about your library!  There are many ways to get involved.:

• Media Contact – Send information on Friends programs and activities to local newspapers, websites, and Lower Makefield Township cable access TV.

• Photography and Video – Record Friends activities and accomplishments as needed.

•  Website Management – Keep our existing website up to date: Post events, provide current information to our membership and the community.

• Social Media – Post events, news and interesting tidbits on the Friends Facebook page.
