The Unknown Stories of Boathouse Row

Boathouse Row is a familiar sight on the Schuylkill River in Philadelphia, but what do we know about this iconic landmark? Why were city firehouses transformed into rowing clubs? What strange customs did they adopt? Journalist Dotty Brown took up rowing, joined one of the boat clubs, and then wrote a history of Boathouse Row. Today she is working with the clubs to preserve their history.
